How to Move from Manual School Attendance to a Digital Process
Daily attendance is a simple task repeated across every class. Making it digital works best when schools agree on who enters it, when it is recorded and how corrections are handled.

Map the current routine
Document who marks attendance, when registers are finalized and how the office receives summaries. Identify places where the same information is copied more than once.
Define a consistent daily process
Decide which staff members can record attendance for each class and section. Provide a clear routine for absences, late entry and correction requests as allowed by your school's policy.
Use reports for review
Monthly views make attendance patterns easier to review than scattered daily registers. A report can support administrative follow-up, but decisions about students should be made with context rather than based on counts alone.
Introduce the change carefully
Begin with a small group of classes and sample data, test the workflow with teachers, then expand once the team is comfortable. Keep a documented fallback approach during the transition.
Where My Almanac helps
My Almanac supports daily class-wise student attendance and monthly attendance reports. Parents and students can view attendance information through their portal, subject to their access.
